Marine
An island in the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka’s waters boast of incredibly rich fauna and flora. Increasing marine pollution, coastal erosion, illegal fishing methods, over extraction of resources, and demands of unregulated tourism, continue to negatively impact the marine. Our knowledge and understanding of the vast oceans are limited, so failing to protect them means that we are destroying wonders that we are not even aware of yet.
