Participants
A total of 26 members accompanied by the Hon Gen Secretary of WNPS embarked on this journey to visit the Wilpattu National Park. Mr. Kithsiri Gunawardena, our expert resource person, joined us at the park bungalow.

Travel Route
WNPS Head Office at Battaramulla - Rajagiriya - Borella - Dematagoda - New Kelani Bridge - Katunayake Expressway - Negombo - Chilaw - Puttalam - Wilpattu National Park.

Theme
The main theme of the visit was to view the various species of animals and birds in their natural jungle habitat within the Wilpattu National Park.

Theme
Trekking through the Sinharaja Forest Reserve on foot to observe and identify the flora and fauna of the reserve in its natural habitat.

A group of 21 nature lovers consisting of both members and non- members of the WNPS under the guidance of Mr. Rahula Perera as the resource person.

A field trip to the National Museum of Natural History to learn about the natural heritage of Sri Lanka in the backdrop of the world’s natural history.

43 nature lovers, both young and old, including WNPS members and non- members participated in the visit, guided by Palaeontologist Mr. Kelum Manamendra- Arachchi.

A group of 25 members led by our President Rukshan Jayewardene joined the trip to Wilpattu.
